White River Watershed Stewardship Celebration, September 28
The celebration was held in Deer Zink Pavilion where guests could mingle while sipping wine and sampling water themed Hors D'oeuvres. There were two stations as well as passed hors d'oeuvre. Among the favorites of the evening were Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Roasted Shrimp, Heirloom Tomatoes, Spinach & Indiana Sweet Corn and Hummus filled Martini Trios with grilled pita breads, olives, roasted peppers. The hummus martini's were hung from a tree structure where guests could "pick" and enjoy. The celebration was a great sucess and we welcome them back in the future.
Alliance Fall Luncheon, October 6
The tables were beautifully set with navy linens, gold chargers, fresh brewed ice tea, and warm butterd rolls. Guests were served Chef's Whim Fall Harvest Salad with Grilled Salmon, Grilled Chicken & Seasonal Vegetables. After enjoying there harvest salad, they were treated with Apple Cranberry Bread Pudding with cinnamon crème anglaise and warm coffee and tea. Shirley Rehersal Dinner, October 7
We had the privliage of hosting the rehersal dinner for Mr. Robert Shirley's son and soon-to-be daughter-in-law. The table was set family style for 30 guests. White linen, pressed napkins with a sprig of hypercom berries tucked inside, floating candles and red rose arrangements decorated the table. A variety of olives, pepadews, roasted tomatoes, Dorsett cheese, Cabot clothbound cheddar, Jasper Hill Bayley Hazen Blue, Reggiano Parmesan, French batard sour dough bread, soft Vermont butter with sea salt greated the guests as they were seated for dinner. Tomato Soup with Reggiano parmesan was served followed by Mixed Mediterranean Salad with dried cranberries, pine nuts, grated reggiano parmesan, fall vegetables and 8 year old balsamic and Greek EVOO dressing. For the main course guests chose between Boneless Airline Breast, stuffed with cheddar, cream cheese stuffing or 2'' Thick Cut Prime Rib. For the final 2 courses, guests were offered martini glass with Autumn stone fruits followed by a dessert trio with Lemoncello and Tiramisu with Macerated cherries. The evening ended with a very pleased father, a glowing bride-to-be, and a crowd of satisfied friends and family. Please visit our facebook page to see images from the evening.
Heartland Film Festival-Opening Reception, October 13
Lights, Camera, Action! The stars were out for the Opening Reception of the Heartland Film Festival. Movie goers had the opportunity to meet Actor Martin Sheen and actor-director son Emilio Estevez for the debut of their movie "The Way." The reception was held in Deer Zink Pavilion with a Spainish, outdoor, traveling theme. The menu was also Spanish themed with Spanish "Tapas", Spanish Pumpkin Soup Sips with toasted pumpkin seeds, Spanish antipasto with serrano ham, manchego cheese, olives, tomatoes, olives, fig jam and Spanish hot chocolate.
